Welcome, after celebrating our centenary with many events for all ages of members, we now look towards the next 100 years. How we have moved on! Girlguiding always moves with the times so that it is relevant to today’s girls. Girlguiding UK is a dynamic voluntary organisation with almost 600,000 members. We provide a unique girl-only space where our young members can be comfortable just being themselves. We promote diversity and equality, and we give girls a voice. Our strapline ‘Girls in the Lead’ means just that – even our youngest Rainbow is encouraged to make decisions. There are 85 Rainbow, Brownie, Guide and Senior Section Units in Girlguiding Inverness-shire, all run by able and willing volunteer Leaders with assistance from Unit Helpers. Look at our County Map page for a more detailed look at the geographical area of our Girlguiding County. It can be quite daunting taking that first step to become a Leader but it is very rewarding and a great opportunity to gain a wide range of experience and skills in different areas. So if you are looking at this website and thinking about getting involved, then read our Recruitment page and get in touch through the Contact Us page Denise Macarthur | County Commissioner
